Dr Josef Kohr Porta Vinea

A complex white wine made from the traditional Auxerrois variety grown in our single vineyard Ruppertsberg Linsenbusch. Through consistent yield reduction and selection, as well as fermentation and ageing in 600l oak casks, this wine unfolds not only in the nose, but especially on the palate, a brilliant play of strong grape variety aromas, such as ripe quince and pear, as well as well-dosed advances of walnut and caramel.

The special style of this winemakes it an excellent accompaniment to food, such as aromatic main courses with strong Gorgonzola or baked salmon. This white wine is sealed with a high-quality natural cork, which allows it to mature in the bottle for a long time.
